「Google Tech Talks」といえば、Googleが様々な業界の関係者を招聘してGoogle社員のために行われる技術講演会ですが、YouTubeにはその専門チャンネル「Google engEDU Tech Talks Channel」があります。日本国内では理系学生の英語教育などにも活用されているようですが、何より第一線で活躍する研究者／クリエイター／デベロッパーの生の声を見聞することが出来るコンテンツとして重宝しますね。

そして去る10月17日に行われたのは、その写真技術分会の第29回目。講演者は、vrphotography.comのScott Highton氏です。

ちなみに「Google engEDU Tech Talks Channel」の映像はウェブページに埋め込めないようになっていますね。う〜ん、勿体ない！

非常に分かりやすい講演で、英語がよく分からなくてもスライド画像でなんとなく分かるところがイイ感じです（笑
ネタがかなり古いのがちょっとイタかったりもしますが、そこはQuicktimeVRの黎明期を支えてきた伝説のパノラマクリエイターですから、多めに見ることにしましょう。

こうしたベテランのパノラマクリエイターが、作品作りの基礎からアイデアのノウハウの“触り”までを紹介するビデオはなかなかないと思います（例外がfromParisのEric Rougier氏渾身のビデオ「Video : create a complete Quicktime VR 360-180° in 10 minutes」でしょうね。全てのパノラマ写真／ムービー入門者に捧げる素晴らしいチュートリアルビデオです）。
今後も、こうしたビデオがどんどん出てくることを期待したいものです。

そういえば、以前にこのブログでご紹介したパノラマ撮影時の撮影情報記録手帳「VR Slate Book」が改訂されて新しくなったそうです。ボクも前版をたまに使ってますが、便利なんですよ。未だ試してない方、ぜひどうぞ！
